Bureau of Indian Standards in collaboration with the Institute of Informatics and Communication, University of Delhi organizes Seminar on "Wearable Technologies: Advancing Innovation through Standards," to help shape India's wearable tech ecosystem. This seminar aims to unite industry, academia, startups, and policymakers to address critical challenges in safety, reliability, interoperability, and security of wearable technologies. By participating, you will actively collaborate to identify gaps, establish performance benchmarks, and draft the national roadmap for new testing methodologies and standards.

Objectives of the Workshop:

  • To emphasize the role of standards in ensuring the performance, safety, reliability, interoperability, and security of wearable technologies.

  • To deliberate upon emerging challenges in wearable technology standardization, including cybersecurity, privacy, and performance.

  • To facilitate dialogue among industry, academia, startups, and policymakers on wearable technology ecosystems.

  • To promote stakeholder participation in national and international standardization activities related to wearables.

  • To identify priority areas for development of new standards, testing methodologies, and best practices for wearable technologies.
