As the region of Asia Pacific experiences dramatic changes and rising numbers of enrolled students in higher education, it is timely to assess the ways in which this sector can be transformed, reformulated, and directed, in order to provide relevant, meaningful, and innovative learning opportunities for all.

The Centre's purpose is to improve higher education participation, especially the marginalized and disadvantaged groups, by informing public policy design and institutional practice.

Through the Wedu NGO, women in 12 Southeast Asian countries receive lifelong mentorship from 25 different countries through Skype, Facebook, and messaging apps for low-bandwidth environments, and are offered innovative financing options to gain higher education and become leaders of their communities.

The theme of this year's annual MLW is "Innovating for quality." It aims to explore the ways in which mobile technology can leveraged in order to foster innovation in education and ensure quality learning opportunities for all.

The Singapore Internet Research Centre leads an IDRC sponsored programme SIRCA III, focusing on Open Development. They now seek empirical researchers based in Africa, Asia and Latin America to propose empirical research projects that respond to one of these six cross-cutting theoretical frameworks. The deadline is 20 March 2016.

This UNESCO IBE resource pack provides deeper understanding on their and practice of inclusive education at school and classroom levels. It offers guidance to policy makers, curriculum specialists, teachers, and others through three guides on national policies, inclusive school development, and inclusive classrooms.
