Maj. Gen. Brajesh Kumar: A war veteran from Corps of Engineers; former Director General Works, Indian Army, he was responsible for Military Infrastructure Requirements of the Defence Services & Strategic Forces. During his 39 years of active service, he was actively involved with the development of strategic border infrastructure, along India's Northern and North Eastern borders & Andaman Group of islands, as well as creation of military infrastructure facilities in support of India's military diplomatic initiative(s) overseas. A recipient of distinguished service awards of Vishisht Seva Medal and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal by the President of India in 2010 and 2011 respectively. He is associated with a few NGOs such as INTACH, Johar HMO and the Atulya Ganga Foundation which is promoting sustainable development in Ganga basin.
Dr. Rasik Ravindra, Chairman SaGAA, Former Director, NCPOR: Dr. Rasik Ravindra is the current Chairman of the Society of Earth Scientists (of India), the Senior Vice President of LIGHTS, and a Member of the Research Advisory Committees of WIHG and NCPOR. Dr Ravindra was Chairman of the DST constituted Program Monitoring Committee on Dynamics of Himalayan Glaciers (2007-2012) and was appointed Chair, Panikkar Professor, in October 2012 by MoES.
