The Alpha Lab (http://TheAlphaLab.org) at Dalian University of Technology, China conducts interdisciplinary, application-driven academic research in data science, big data, network science, and computational social science. The Lab currently has 50+ PhD and Master students, and has supervised over 10 international PhD students.

 

We are opening 2 PhD student positions in research areas like data science, big data, network science, computational social science, data analytics, big scholarly data, social network analysis, machine learning, etc. All positions will be coupled to full Chinese Government Scholarships. Basic living allowance will be 3,500 RMB/month, plus Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit. The scholarships are exempt from registration fee, tuition, and fee for basic learning materials. Accommodation on campus will be provided for free. The University will offer excellent working conditions.

Starting date: September 2019

PhD duration: 4 years

 

Qualifications

1. Applicants shall have a master's degree in related discipline.

2. A good command of the English language (in speaking and in writing) is required.

3. Research experience in related areas is a plus.
