Theme: Climate Change

Prime objective of this joint faculty retreat is to understand strengths from each side and engage faculties in research/teaching collaborations in the area of mutual and National interest.

Tentative program

Day 1: 17th December: Inauguration

(Venue: SLS committee room, II Fl., School of Life Sciences, JNU).

[Breakfast at their respective hotels/guest house and pick up from IIC at 9:00AM
while pick up from CGH at 9:30 AM]

10:00 AM: Inauguration function to be chaired by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, JNU - Professor S K Sopory

• Welcome by Hon'ble VC, JNU
• Remarks by Provost Katherine Newman
  Remarks by John (Jack) Ahern
• Introduction of the program- themes for the next three days (A. Pareek)
• Deans of SLS, SSS, SES and SIS to briefly share their school activities related to CLIMATE CHANGE (5 minutes each).

11:30               Visit to SLS CIF and AIRF

1:00                 Lunch at University Cafeteria

           
2-5 PM :Session I: SLS faculty Interaction on "Climate change and plant adaptation"
