Before delivering his speech Mr. Sharma will meet with UNESCO Director-General, Audrey Azoulay to discuss the goals of the COP 26. UNESCO works through its Science, Culture and Education sectors to protect biodiversity and to promote Education for Sustainable Development. Earlier this year UNESCO called for the prominent positioning of Education for Sustainable Development in school curricula in every country in the world by 2030. A report published by UNESCO this summer, Learn for our planet found that currently climate change receives far too little mention in learning materials.
