People's Festival of Innovation (PFI) 2023 | 28 November to 2 December, IIC New Delhi

PEOPLE'S FESTIVAL OF INNOVATIONS (PFI 2023)
A convergence of Deep-Science & Grassroots Innovations is being held at India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi from 28th November to 2nd December 2023

Innovation has been the backbone of the Indian growth story in the last decade. But beyond its role as an economic accelerator, innovation connects with society, changes lives and solves challenges. Its objective is for and with people. The People's Festival of Innovations, a celebration of India's innovation spirit is being organized from Nov 28th to 2nd Dec 2023 at India International Centre New Delhi. It is conceptualized, curated and mentored by doyens of the country's innovation landscape and organized as an annual initiative by C-CAMP (Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms) and GIAN (Grassroots Innovations Augmentation Network) bringing to the Public a convergence of Deep Tech and Grassroot Innovators. After a fantastic kick-off in 2022, this much-awaited festival now announces its second edition, PFI 2023, themed as Scaling Innovations: From Idea to Impact. PFI 2023 is envisaged as an exciting science innovation platform for both Deep Tech and Grassroots innovations addressing needs across Healthcare, Agriculture and Animal Health, farming machinery, natural resource management, environment, utilities & clean energy sectors. It will bring together innovators and various stakeholders from the national and global innovation ecosystem presenting a unique opportunity to showcase, accelerate, and amplify the scale and impact of breakthrough ideas. The Festival is conceived primarily as a platform for fostering high-impact engagements, where innovators will meet, not only experts but also the public creating wider awareness and a more inclusive & people-centric innovation culture. The Festival will also have:

  • panel discussions
  • Informal story-telling sessions.
It is expected to be attended by innovators, scientists, domain experts, policymakers, international organizations, government departments, industry delegations, and investors. A High-level Discussion Summit is also on the cards, involving Innovators, Industry and Academia experts, Policy makers, International organizations, ecosystem players and stakeholders including Investors and regulators who will discuss the successes as well as emerging challenges of India's Deeptech and grassroots innovations ecosystem and share their thoughts on how to build and scale enterprises. This year the Festival is extending its participation by opening up registrations for both deep tech and grassroots or frugal innovators. Innovators will get the opportunity to interact and network with leading Investors & Investment Networks, International & National Health Agencies, National Public Health Departments & agencies, Embassies, Regulatory & Policy Experts and Technical Experts. The festival is curated by visionaries like Dr. Renu Swarup, Former Secretary to the Govt of India, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Prof. Anil Gupta, Founder, Honey Bee Network, SRISTI, GIAN and NIF, Visiting Faculty, IIMA, IITB, Academy Professor, ACSIR, Dr. Swati Basu, Former Scientific Secretary, Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Govt of India and Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed, Director-CEO of C-CAMP.
