National Conference on Foresight and Technology Futures 2015

19-20 March 2015

Venue: Senate Chamber, University of Kerala - Palayam Campus, Trivandrum, Kerala

Organized by Department of Futures Studies, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Foresight exercise should be firmly embedded within the 'System of innovation' (or 'Innovation System') approach. Innovation does not follow a linear path but tends to follow complex feedback loops between research, processes of development, design, engineering and production. The foresight analysis gives a platform to study the roles of various actors and the form of influences/interactions they have on each other. The team for guiding the foresight exercise should have persons with diverse backgrounds and stakeholders and identify realistic approach.

The conference on Foresight and Technology Futures would like to explore ideas in this direction in the national, state (Kerala) and regional scenario of India. It provides an opportunity for the students, researchers from both academia and industry to attend informative and thought provoking sessions from eminent researchers and pioneers in the Foresight and Technology Futures.
